EraLife started being built in late 2025 after the creator, Jamal Baty, otherwise known as Acrello on social media, asked a question while playing the game BitLife: “Where’s my grandparents?”

That question led to a cascading amount of questions trying to tackle the same question: “Why do life sims feel so lifeless?”

So to create the life sim he always wanted to play, Acrello spent 18–22 hours a day, on a $0 budget, learning and applying decoupled simulation architecture so that EraLife may be scaled forever.

Acrello is a player first, developer second. That means a lot of the stuff you’ll want or wanted, he’s already aware of! EraLife now lets you switch to any entity you can observe and play as them, as well as build an entire dynasty through Eras!
